Black Horse Carriers Closes Wisconsin Terminal

An Illinois-based trucking company, Black Horse Carriers, recently closed its Wisconsin terminal eliminating dozens of jobs.

On February 24, the terminal located at 1270 Hickory St. in Pewaukee permanently closed its doors, leaving 68 employees without work. Sixty-one of those people were CDL-A drivers.

According to a letter to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, “the closure has been prompted by the customer’s decision given on Friday, February 21, 2020, to discontinue business with Black Horse Carriers at this location.”

Black Horse Carriers has five other Wisconsin terminals that will remain operational.
